Hi! I’m Amanda, the heart behind Blossom Paws. I’m a proud Cuban-American, wife, mom of three beautiful children, former veterinary technician, registered nurse, and lifelong animal lover.

My love for animals started long before Blossom Paws ever existed. Some of my earliest memories include growing up surrounded by dogs, and over the years, my love for animals only grew. I’ve had the opportunity to care for many different kinds of animals—even monkeys! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me.

During high school and into the beginning of college, I worked as a veterinary technician, gaining hands-on experience caring for animals and learning about their health and well-being. My childhood dream was actually to become a veterinarian. Although life ultimately led me down a different path for personal reasons, that passion for veterinary medicine and animal care never left me.

I went on to become a registered nurse and found another calling that was very close to my heart: labor and delivery. There was something incredibly special about caring for mothers and babies and being part of the beginning of a new life. I continued working as a labor and delivery nurse, including during the COVID-19 pandemic—an experience that taught me so much about compassion, patience, responsibility, and caring for others during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Today, I’m blessed to be a stay-at-home mom, which has allowed me to bring so many pieces of my life together. I’m able to dedicate my days to my children, my dogs, my mama dogs and puppies, our chickens, and all the animals that make our home feel complete.

Above everything, our home is built on faith. God comes first in our family, and we strive to keep Him at the center of our home, our marriage, our children, and the work we do through Blossom Paws. “The Lord is my shepherd” is more than a verse that is special to us—it reflects the way we choose to live, trusting Him to guide our family through every season.

Blossom Paws truly is a family effort. My family is incredibly supportive of what I do, and my children are especially involved with our puppies. They love spending time with them, playing with them, cuddling them, and helping them become accustomed to the everyday sights, sounds, affection, and activity of family life.

Blossom Paws is an extension of my family, my experience, my faith, and my heart. Every puppy is raised in our home surrounded by love, children, animals, and the beautiful everyday chaos of family life.

My greatest joy is watching these tiny puppies grow, develop their own personalities, and eventually meet the families who have been waiting to love them.
